PHOTO GALLERY LATVIA

Photo Gallery Latvia is a high-resolution image service featuring images of Latvia. The images may be used free of charge only for the purpose of promoting Latvia to:
 
  • Foreign media;
  • Latvian and foreign embassies;
  • Latvian governmental and self-governmental institutions;
  • International non-commercial Latvia-promoting events (including publications, exhibitions, conferences, CD-ROMs, broadcasting media and the Internet etc.).
 
Editorial material, for instance annual reports of individual companies or other specific company information, is not considered general promotion of Latvia. Images may not be used in advertisements or to market any specific company, product or service. Advertisements for products, that is, goods and/or services that are shown in direct connection with an image, are not considered to promote Latvia.
 
Ordering a photo from the photo gallery, client accepts these rules and promises to place the following information on the image: first name and name of the photographer and the name of “The Latvian Institute” (“Photo: www.li.lv – Name of photographer / The Latvian Institute”).

The content of website www.latvia.lv can be accessed, printed and downloaded in an unaltered form (altered including being stretched, compressed, colored or modified in any way so as to distort content from its original proportions or format) on condition that the Latvian Institute (further – LI) is acknowledged as the source. The content (content being images, text, sound and video files, programs and scripts) of website is property of the LI.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use the content of the website in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any content printed or downloaded may not be sold, licensed, transferred, copied or reproduced in whole or in part in any manner or in or on any media to any person without the prior written consent of the LI. Other individuals and organizations wishing to make LI website content accessible through their websites are encouraged to create hyper links to the required content on this website.

PRINTED MATERIALS

All the printed information materials (fact sheets, booklets, brochures, posters etc.) of the LI can be freely distributed and cited for informative and educational purposes, on condition that the LI is acknowledged as the source.

MULTIMEDIA

All the multimedia materials of the LI can be freely distributed and demonstrated (free of charge) for informative and educational purposes, on condition that the Latvian Institute is acknowledged as the source. Modification, montage and editing of the audio-visual materials are not allowed. Photographs of multimedia materials cannot be copied.

LINKS

Part of the LI role is to act as a trusted guide on the web. Links to web sites other than those owned by the LI are offered as a service to readers. The editorial staff of the LI was not involved in their production and is not responsible for their content.
